The design of relations / Designs for the pluriverse

Can design become a tool for social, ecological and political transition, capable of designing gentler relationships between people, systems and contexts? That is the question at the heart of the Contemporary Critique course 2023–24, to which I contributed alongside lecturer Angela Rui at the BA Design programme of the University of San Marino.
The course explored relational design through theoretical lessons and practical workshops, experimenting with methodologies that encouraged collaboration, equality and coexistence. The second part of the semester focused on developing a collective project, centred on new relational modes and collective practices oriented towards the common good. I contributed through research, in-class assistance, developing some of the lessons, preparing theoretical and practical materials, and designing the layout of the final outputs.
